same problem, shutting down hi, my daughter is having the same problem when she gets to the tribal stage. she'll be happy as a clam playing and next thing she know, the screen goes blank and the computer shuts off. ??? can anybody help?
computer shuts down hi, my daughter gets to the tribal stage and the computer screen goes black and shuts down. no warning, she'll be in the middle of playing and the computer just shuts off. she is on a macbook that has been upgraded to meet the requirements of the game, including the leopard program and windows xp thru macs bootcamp. so she runs the game on the windows side of the computer. anybody know why the computer would just shut down?thanks

hi, yea, 2.0ghz intel core 2 duo processor/ 1gb of ddr2 sdram; supports up to 2gb/ 80gb 5400rpm hard drive/ intel gma 950 graphics processor with 64mb of ddr2 sdram shared with main memory/slot-loading combo drive . we also upgraded her mac to the leopard. (which has bootcamp to install windows) now i figured out that the gma 950 graphics won't work, so, as per apple personnel i have installed windows xp professional into the mac. we installed it with 20gb for hard drive space when we partitioned the computer. when she plays her game , she plays thru the windows side. the game is supposed to work (and it does) with windows xp and a gma 950 graphics. game appears to work great with the exception of when it feels like shutting down or sometimes it freezes. does this help? thanks kathy
If you are a Windows XP User: Goto Start > Run > Type in DXDIAG > Press Enter. Click Save all information and then upload the text file. If you are a Windows Vista user: Click Windows Button, and Click the Windows Search Field. type in DXDIAG. Press Enter. Click Save all information and then upload the text file.
Bootcamp user eigh? Hmmmm.. Get us that dxdiag and our guess would be that you're running outdated drivers for the GMA950.
this has gotten too complicated. i have been communicating to you on MY pc. it is my daughters mac laptop that the game and the dxdiag report are on. to send you the dxdiag report i would have to sign with the internet on the windows side of the computer, which is something she doesn't want to do. then the other option was to print the report, scan it in my pc and then send it to you. but then the mac has new hardware and windows needs to locate it, yada yada yada. she doesnt want to keep using up space. anyway , enough of that i am sure you have started rolling your eyes on this one. can you tell me what to look at on the report. or is that much to complicated to explain? thank you kathy
