umm its in the north arm section when u start spore there is a planet exactly in center north titled new game sol is closer to it
actually i found sol accidently andd before the grox lol so i didnt know much bout the hype of finding earth lol

Earth yea i could have hehe btw this doesnt mean that u have to start playing from tht new game point even if u have a ready game u can just travel the distance, the location is the same the newgames are just tiny planets in the arms of the galactic core the missions are same u could try travelling via blackholes they are the easiest means to get to sol there are 3 blackholes tht will place you near sol and 1 that will place you right on top of sol the TRG-50372v which is located in extreme west of the galactic core will place you right on top of sol
