Need Help!!!! After a short time in the space stage the game started popping an error msg and shutting down. Couldn't get the new patch to install but i got that to work today and still have same problem. Play for about 5 mins then crash, error and close... Please help?
I see no reason why it won't although I would suggest you check your power supply to make sure that it's providing the recommended amount of wattage to that card. If the power supply were faulty or not powerful enough for this card to run I could maybe see this happening. I would go over to Foxconn's or BFG's website (whoever the motherboard manufacturer is )and see if your motherboard was up to date on the BIOS. I would go and download DriverSweeper from here and install it. http://downloads.guru3d.com/Guru3D---Driver-Sweeper-(Setup)_d1655.html Then I would go and download the newest drivers for your card. http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_180.48_whql.html Go into your control panel/add remove programs and uninstall your video drivers. restart the computer and as the computer is booting up press F8 to go into safe mode. Now run DriverSweeper and use it to remove the Nvidia Display drivers. Empty out your recycle bin and run the disk cleanup utility under system tools. Now defragment your hard driver using the windows defragmenter. Press start/all programs/acessories/system tools/defragmenter. If you haven't done this in a while it may take a bit. When it's all said and done install the new drivers and see if it helps any.
