Counting Down to Digital TV Transition!

Counting down to the Digital TV Transition! Are you ready? It's around the corner! February 17 everything shuts down...:D Anybody get those coupons and cash it in yet? Or buy those digital tv set top boxes?

Unless of course they postpone it to June like they were talking about.

I think the whole digital tv transition is a joke. What about those who use small televisions that use batteries for during a storm and the power goes out? They aren't thinking of the worst case scenario!

    Not worried

We're not worried. Cable in the house.

Thing is, they need to boost the transmit power a bit.
The digital "cliff" is steep. More so than the analog.

The repubs want it now so that the fcc can alocate the frequencies
over to the emergency crews -police, fire, rescue- that have been promised the airwaves. Other governmental agencies will also divy up
    that spectrum.

BTW -Gabriel Storm is back. :smoker:

And thus Barack Obama signs a bill delaying the Digital TV transition till June 12th.. Hmm.. I wonder if The Sims 3 had anything to do with it. :D

In any case, some TV stations are still opting to go through with the transition as planned on Feb 17th.
