Turkish Airlines 737-800 Crash in Amsterdam

    Turkish Airlines 737-800 Crash in Amsterdam

    Turkish Airline Flight 1591 crashed on final approach to Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport around 10:35AM Local Time (+1GMT). The Boeing 737-800 broke into three pieces after it came to a rest short of the runway.

    On board is believed to be 118 passengers and 8 crew members. One person is confirmed dead.

    Just a quick update...as it just came when I just posted it.

    Dutch Television is reporting 9 people died, 3 of them were in the cockpit.

    Very sad indeed! Makes me wonder what the cause will be ruled out as.

    All the early eye witness accounts indicate the plane came in too low, and too slow, so it sounds like they stalled.

    May God comfort the families who lost loved ones today
