    Nothing new, more problems?!

i finally found a game my girlfriend likes and it doesnt run and its rather annoying...

i read alot of problems with this game so thought somebody could help...

basically i had the black screen problem but reduced the window size and the resolution, which helped a bit, kinda..

but now the game just freezes after 5 or 10 minutes displaying what ever the sim was doing.....

according to a test i did online my laptopcan run the game, and i reckon if it runs at all it should play alrite, no?

    any solutions would be great?!

    willing to try nearly anything?!

    thanx michael

swmeek I got your benevolent dictator pal!!

Did you try turning off Aero?
Even with that crappy Turbocache chipset it should play.
Make sure the laptop is not getting too hot while you're playing!

Try downloading something like cpu-z which will tell you what temps the cpu is running at or pc wizard 2008 which will show you temps for all the stuff in your laptop.
I would suggest you run only that and the game at the same time and turn everything else off including your internet connection.
Run the game for however long it will play and if it crashes back to the desktop flip open pc wizard 2008 and check your temps.

I would recommend speedfan for monitoring temperatures of your CPU, GPU, etc and the speed that the fans are running at.
