Spore Won't Start Ok, So I bought spore, popped the disk in my drive, and nothing happens. I have all the requirements. I first bought it a couple of days ago, and it was the same thing, so I went on to the administrator account on my PC, and it said it was a blank disk. I got a replacement today, and it's not doing anything. Even when I go into the "Computer" Menu and select the 'DVD RW Drive' it shows a bunch of files about Spore, but when I click Install nothing happens. Help please!
First step is make sure the player is working fine and that the disks aren't scratched. Turn the disk over and look at it very carefully and see if you can see any imperfections in the image side of the disk. I'm not a 100% but it seems like somewhere I've heard of some certain dvd drives having problems with the disks. Did you try running this in another pc ? Just see if it will start the install is all you need to know. If you have a disk laser cleaner run that through and see if it helps. If it doesn't return it again as you might have gotten ahold of a bad batch of disks. Oh and make sure you do not have any cd or dvd copying software installed when you try and install it in case that's the wily culprit stopping you from installing the disk.
Ok, somehow I got it installed, but now I cant get it to start. Whenever I try to open it it just says: The game needs access to the internet in order to verify ownership of this game. Please ensure that your computer is online and try again.
