brown boxes

i have brown boxes for the default rail tracks and this happen when i uninstalled and reinstalled... is there a file missing:ermm:

 

What game are you refering to?
Make sure your computer has the proper specs to play this game.

 

Wait a minute... are you referring to SimCity 4 and those irritating and discombobulating brown boxes that sprout out everywhere? I may have a simple answer to that: there are actually files or dependencies missing to take away the brown boxes and to actually see the entire content. That's what I see in some of my buildings too (especially large ones with tons of dependencies) -- brown boxes that require even the smallest details (i.e. tiles, fauna, flora) to make them disappear, and I don't like them.

By the way, for those who don't know dependencies, here it is:

Dependency - a required set of file/s that will actually make the building work in SimCity 4 (such as a tree modification file, prop packs, tile packs, etc.), and those can be downloaded from the same website or exchange you got the original building. Note that many buildings and structures require them to actually work, so check the file description carefully to download any missing dependency/-ies to make the building or structure work correctly.

 

i have sim 4 delux the brown boxes show when i lay the default rail tracks...thats not and add on

 

Hmmm... what do you mean? Describe me using pictures, please? I got SC4 Deluxe, and I don't get brown boxes when I lay out rail.

 

First off does your computer meet the required specs to play the game and is your game patched?
You might post your dxdiag report if you're not sure about the specs.

 

Hmmm.. good point there! I remember what's missing when I see brown boxes would just be potted plants or some small (miniscule) feature that it may not be needed in the first place!
