I've got a minor one... It's not so bad. Usually the game crashes when you click the mouse on any part of your city numerously by accident. I just save it whenever I feel like I should... Also, there are graphics/details problems. Whenever you have your city functioning for a long time, things start to slow down; if you try to go to a different spot in your city, it will take longer to load all the buildings and roads. Not too bad for the bugs!
It's an NVIDIA GeForce2 MX/MX 400.... 32 bit is the highest it can go up to.. It happens very rarely..
Try this: get new drivers for your graphics card.. http://www.nvidia.com Upgrade DirectX to version 9 http://www.microsoft.com/directx
You almost answered your own question, there has been issues with the 32-bit colours, particularly on the GF2 MX series. Try switching down to 16-bit, you wont even notice the difference in detail anyway. Please report back once you've tried, and tell us if it helped.
I think it is more of an issue with drivers and directx rather than colorbit. I use 32 and have no problems in all games. SimCity 4 is a different story. I need a new computer before I can get it.
Well, the issue I was talking about lies within SimCity 4, I wasnt talking about the GFX card in general
I've found out that when things starts to slow down it also can be a matter of RAM. When Ram starts to be to much in use the comp have to shuffle more and more all the time. With so many different animations and stuff there is in games like this I think that can be a consideration as well. Just a thought. I might be wrong here. But otherwise I've been told that your graphics card should be enough as it is. I have the same, but like josh i need to upgrade the rest. :(
