In case anyone's wondering, that's not me in the picture, that's my friend, the owner of the kitties parents! She pulled them out from under the bed so I could see them. Mama cat let her, and she is PROUD of her kitties!! And Daddy cat was all cuddly when we first came in but he went up to his hidey-hole in the closet once we started hunting for the kittens. :whitekitty:
Thanks lew!! TONS has been happening lately! My best friend showed up at my door banging on the door to wake me up at 10am this morning when I'd been up pretty late last night... she was having emergencies and brought Rosabelle with her. Problem 1, she's on a fixed income and they LIED to her and said she would get her regular check, so they budgeted for that and THEN they took out $55 so she's short by that much and can't pay all the bills or have any grocery money... problem 2, she might be pregnant and she didn't want to tell her husband yet because if she is, she'll have to be put in the mental hospital because they'll have to take her off her bipolar medication so she'll be completely unstable! So I got to give her money that came from checks that WE weren't counting on, that was a nice lucky thing I could do that! And we got tests and the first one turned out negative but she has to wait a week and try again. My hubby had to rush home from work today to take medicine for his allergies because he SWELLED UP and doesn't know what caused it! I got to go eat with my friend and talk, and we took the puppy Rosabelle to PetSmart and I got to buy a woobie for her to have at MY house for her to chew on and play with when she visits! She's the puppy I found abandoned and I rescued her and we got her treated at the vet... now my friend has adopted her so I get to see her all the time still, cool huh?! (I've never had a dog....) I got all the sims expansions FINALLY installed and went looking through the objects and skins to see what's new that came with Deluxe! I haven't messed with the program that came along with Deluxe though. And I haven't actually PLAYED the game yet! I need to find all the downloaded stuff and put that back in the game, and find the objects *I* made too! I got the transmogrifier on the NEW computer and have a MAGIC COOKIE now so I can sort through the objects I made already and submit the GOOD ones.
Well, I'm setting out on the big adventure for the day... going to Galveston to get the mammogram I've been worried about. Hopefully they can tell me what the lump in my breast IS. Wish me luck!
That was really a lot Fae. :classic: Right now we all are waiting for news about your surgery. We are all keeping you in our thoughts and best wishes. *Gives Fae a big hug*
My surgery seems to have gone well, they removed the lump from my left breast, they are dissecting it and analyzing it to make sure it wasn't at all cancer. I had some pain when I woke up and they gave me medicine that gave me an allergy itching reaction, so they had to try another pain medicine! They sent me home with some sort of artificial codene pain pills but I only took them the first day. I've had more pain from just body aches than from the incision wound!! And the wound hurt less than my "regular" chronic pains! O-o That in itself is a little scary....
Thanks lew! I still can't go back to normal activity for about 5 more weeks... (8 weeks total from the day of the operation) but I'm feeling MUCH better! Just I have to work hard not to catch the FLU now as my husband has it!! aaagh!!
Great!! :classic: Oohhhh.. Back to topic folks. I got my new comp and it's running. "All" that's need to be done is the rest of installing programs and stuff. I work with my comp to so i need the install poieces of MS Office and such and get back all my saved files there. The I can start install my games too. And can anyone guess what's the first game that's gonna be installed? :classic:
YAY Nina!!! I am so glad you are finally able to get things the way you want them. I know you have gotten it, so it will be sc4. *big hugs congrats*
Fae: All the very best to you. I do hope that the surgery is the last you shall ever need, and that you live a long time and with good health. I would like to wish the same to your computer, but at present I think that they are the most unreasonable 'life form' in this or any other galaxy - at least mine is.
Yeah. I know Philip. It really seems you and your comp have disagreements. And they are really unreasonably too in between. Anyway I tried out SC4 yesterday. It took only about 5 minutes to install. So the hardware is very good. The patch took just about 5 minutes to download and install. :classic: This time I installed Direct X 7.0 NOT 8.1. Reason: It messed up sims for me (8.1) especially the sound and I had to disabled things in it in order to get sims function as well as Simcity 3000WE. So far - NO problems with SC3000 and today I will reinstall Sims and see. Well so far so good. maybe some finetuning needs to be done in some softwares. But that's no big deal. The machine works good. :classic: :bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny::bunny:
It took me half an hour to get on line today (it may have been longer). I am saving up for a new computer and I am trying to get this one right but I have little hope. Is it really cold in Sweden - i.e. where you are? I understand that the very north of Sweden is very very cold. I don't like the cold anymore. That could just be my age - that is my real age - not the age I think I am.
Heh... My comp is prolly a little faster than i like to think it is... But still... thesims did always run slow for me :| course that was really weird cause if i just left the loading screen open and let it load there it took bout 5 minutes, but if i minimized it and when to do other stuff on the comp it took bout 2 minutes :/ oh well.. my comp is weird just like me (maybe now we can make the say "Like owner like computer"?) anyways... welcome back Fae!
