    Got a few questions :)

What do you do when people stop coming to your house after they say they are coming to visit? And then suddenly you cant call them when you just did call them?

We also had a problem where no one could get to our house all of a sudden. No pizza delivery, no maid, AND NO MAIL! that was the weirdest thing. Our stuff kept getting repo'd cause they said we hadnt paid our bills but no bills were coming. LOL no neighbors no one. Had to move out of that house.

And I would really like to know what the Column is good for that keeps bacteria away :-D

Anyone interested in answering my few questions send me a reply :)

    THANKS!!!!!!!!!! :)

    Hey Josh,

Thanks for telling me about this site. It will be very helpful as we have TONS of questons. LOL Anyway, no, we didnt delete anything. We checked into that when it first started happening. They just stop coming after awhile. and actually since I posted that question a few minutes ago, its alreay happening at my husband's house again. He finally just has to evict his people and start over and that kinda stinks. LOL Any ideas?

Oh and are those columns beneficial? The blue colbalt column

Ok, one of the things you can do is to try the code prepare_lot. For some reasons, things get messed up with the settings. What this code does is to reset the settings. As for the columns, it is just a discription of the column. Some of the discriptions are meant to be funny spoofs of a commercial so to speak. It is like the discription of the lava lamp that talks about a hidden drawer that doesn't exist as far as the item goes. Good luck.

The prepare_lot thing didnt work. Any other ideas? He tried to call the police for something and no one showed up. I finally got the Guinea pig disease to go away :) Got rid of the Guinea pig after that.

LOL Thanks for all the help with this :)

Have you tried to just reinstall the last expansion by puting the cd in the drive and then on the start up screen, click on the question mark(more info), and then reinstall. Doing this will not remove anything you have added to the game, but should fix the problem. Good luck.

So, we tried reinstalling the game and that didnt seem to change anything. BUT we think we figured something out. It appears that the garden is taking up more room than it should because after only a couple of papers pile up (like if they get missed for a day or two) then the paper calls and says that they arent going to deliver anymore and that is when all the mail stops coming and everything else. So, I think cutting back on the garden a bit and being more careful to pick up the newspapers will help. :)

we found an add on type thing that allows you to grow your kids into teenagers and eventually move them out of the house. LOL that is cool :)

Are your kids in a good mood?

As for the teen-lifecycle thing, I would advise against using it in your game. It has messed up a lot of peoples games to the point of them having to completely uninstall, erase and start over installing the game.

I thought maybe that was it when it happened but they werent in any worse of a mood than they had been any other day . That actually happened right after I installed the teen thing so maybe that was why if its messed up people's games before. Also, I am on Win 2000 and I had read on another thread that Win 2000 and the Sims arent completely compatible so that could be part of the issue as well.

    Thanks! Gruntled :)

well if your game works and you can play, then that isn't a problem. Just that users were having a hard time running on windows 2000 and that's the only issue.

Gameplay is fine in windows 2000 (if you can get it started).

OH, I see. well, we have a lot of really strange problems so I dont know what the deal is. LOL When my kids wouldnt go to school it wasnt that they didnt want to go, they got stuck trying to get there and gave up. Like they were walking on a tread mill or something. Walking and going no where. So I guess "refused" is a poor way of wording it. They physically couldnt get out the door for some reason and finally gave up trying. We couldnt get it running on our kids' computer though so that could be the 2000 there I suppose. I still say we need to buy XP :)

I believe, that Unleashed is fully XP compatible-but EA will not suppirt users using The Sims on Windows 200 (learnt all that in my UL expansion pack's readme file)
