Help When i open the sims program and start to play the game, it automatically shutsdown in the middle of stuff, i dunno if its the cd-rom or my computer. Help! -Honey
Sounds like the same problem i have!! i start the game up and as soon as i click on a house it just shuts down and sends me back to the desktop!! please help!!! it was working fine until the other day!!
I think I know why... If your using the 1024x768 virsion everytime, then you need to switch it to 800x600. I did that and it works fine. I havent tried to open it up wit 1024x768 yet, but if it starts to work, ill let ya know. -Honey
What windows system and how much ram do you have? If you have win95/95/me/2000, you need a minimum of 128 ram. If you have winXP, you need 256 ram. Also, on the one with the crash on a house, did you add any new downloaded skins or objects? If so, you may have a bad file.

when downloading objects...try to check whether they work... and files named food.iff and flies.iff should not be downloaded...they will crash the game
One more question Why is it that when I download cars, you can only clean them? (Some you cant even clean, they sit there!) lol -Honey PS: If theres a way to get to drive them, what is it?
Cars can't be driven because it involves a complex algorithum to make them go from one lot to another and it is tricky since each lot treated like a saved game in some sense. There is a car at www.coolsimstuff.net that you can drive (unconfirmed) and one at www.killersims.com (PS) (confirmed) The one at killersims takes your sims and makes him/her vanish for a few hours and then returns him/her

I think it is based on certain aspects of the sims telescope from Living large (execpt it doesn't mess with your personality points i think....)
