No DIY I have just deleted an entire post - I think. All I did was to press, inadvertently, escape. It is the lot of today. I intended to fix an outside light but I am still a long way from doing that and I will not do it today. I might (?) do it tomorrow. Has anyone any words of consolation. I have not played a single game all day - no - not a stroke. I am thoroughly fed up at the moment and I have some quite horrible beer to drink tonight. Better than nothing, I suppose.
Don't know why, but we all have our off days when it seems nothing goes right. I find that on those days, I am most comforted by being around good friends. I had an off day the other day, and nothing really set it off, don't know what it was. I finally got over the low I had by laughing with good friends in the sims chat. It was a real pick-me-up, and I started feeling a lot better. Keep your chin up, things do seem to work out eventually. *big hugs*
I have finished it!!!! It appears to work but I will have to wait until tonight to find out. It is around 15 degrees here just now. I don't know if that means that it is going to be a good summer, but we can all hope. Yesterday, like all yesterdays, is forgotten.
I understand you so well Philip. Some days are just horrible. Some days are good. And some are anything in between. I try to think about things that DID go well, or something fun in the past. I also think about the good things I do have in my life, such as my lovely friends. :classic: It's good you got it finished. That's a betterment. And I'm sure you will get it to work as well. :classic:
Philip, I also understand the challenges of doing things yourself. We bought an old house, We fixed up the necessary things, like installing gas lines, water lines, to include replacing a bedroom floor from the bottom up (literally, floor joists and subflooring after the previous owners destroyed it with a leaking waterbed) ect, ourselves instead of contracting out the work. Now, we're in the middle of changeing out the electrical wiring, outlets, lights, and service panel to a 200 amp. We've also been ripping out old paneling and cleaning mildew off walls behind it. There are six of us living together here in a six room house...definately interesting here depending on which room we're currently working on..... ...really is he look you see on most friends faces as they enter from time to time to check our progress June will mark the first anniversary of work on this old house.
Yep, burn out is bad. Been there, done that, more than once. I have at least learned the coming signs of burn out, and know when to take a break. Took a long time to figure it out, but at least now I know the signs.
...maybe you should tell me those signs to watch out for Pokey!!! I seem to get sick and burn out a lot... :( Glad you got your game working Philip! Wow Billie... I wish I could see all that work at your house! I LOVE watching do it yourself and home improvement and interior decorating shows!!!
