I got Sims Superstar!! whoohoo! I've been waiting for today when Superstar was supposed to be out in the stores, and my hubby got off work for an hour to take me to the computer store in the mall to get it... but we beat the UPS delivery to the store so we had to walk around for an hour before it was delivered to the store!! Then we came back to the store just as the clerk was opening the shipment box, and I got the FIRST copy of the game out of the box! heehee does this count as fanatical? I also got Sim City 4 since I finally had the money saved up for that too! Now my savings is wiped out but Sims MAAAD-ness ensues!! Whoo-hoo! Let me know if anyone wants me to take screenshots of specific stuff in the game you wanted to see!!

I think it's great so far! There is a main street in Studio Town but it's not named Broadway... There are 3 types of awards for the music, movie, and fashion careers, and each of those comes in gold, silver, and bronze. They aren't shaped like or named Oscars or Grammys though. I've read the instructions and one type of award is given to you while you're IN Studio Town, and another type is delivered to your sim while they're at home! As far as I know there aren't musicals at all, but there are music videos! I haven't gotten very far so my sim hasn't run into Christina Aguilera yet but when I do I'll take a picture for you! I found out there's supposed to be Marylin Monroe as a sim Superstar too!! ^-^
So far my Sim has encountered Christina, Avril, and Marylin Monroe! I'm really glad they put a classic movie star in!! It did seem weird to only have Singers for real life celebrities. I took pictures in my photo album of my sim meeting Christina and I'll try to sort out WHICH pics they are and post them here!
I just got Superstar a couple of days ago - I haven't played it yet. But from what I've seen it looks like one of the better expansion packs.

So far my sim hasn't run into any other celebrities from real life yet, though the box says Justin Timberlake is in there. It looks like the real celebs show up randomly once per visit to a lot.
Superstar Superstar is a great game, but as soon as i started to play it, it slowed down everything in the game, y is that?? :angry:
It might be your computer doesn't meet the minimum requirements, or is only a little bit above them, or it might be something that's a game glitch and Maxis may have a patch for it sometime soon. Also, if you have a lot of downloads in the game that might be slowing it down.
I thought that was it, so i didn't download anything onto it, i mena i can never download things, it never works for me. Thank you lots.

she wasnt annoying...well thats ur opinion i guess...she is classy and sophisticated but she is sometimes sleazy. anyway...im tryin to get superstar to see all the celebs
i fianlly got mine last friday!!! first one out the box still wrapped!! (thats what comes of having a hubby manager of a blckbuster store) i have only met Avril at the moment would rather not meet Christina shes sooo annoying and would rteally rather avouid andy warhol
