I'm undecided. I really want to buy it, but I'm pretty sure I'll be sick of it after a week of playing it. That's how long it took me to tire of superstar. when it comes down to it, the game play is exactly the same as the other expansions, so I try everything once just to see it and then I'm bored with it.
I'm curious what looks "Harry Potterish" about it to you? I do agree it's along the same lines as the other expansions, you get new goals to work through and a new area to go to, but the new interactions and the whole carnival rides things are what's different for me on this one.
When I first read about the Makin Magic expansion I got to the part about having the family magic book and learning spells and stuff like that and it reminded me a lot of the tv show Charmed.
