    cool :D

And now for my latest big news... I LOST 50 pounds!! Whooo-hooo! :D After working on my diet and health for over a year now I've finally made it to my latest BIG goal and lost 50 pounds, and I'm feeling MUCH better than last year, and I'm planning to hunt down my next size smaller jeans now to see if they fit yet since the one's I'm in now are getting way too loose. :D *does a little happy dance!*

Years later... haha.. no, it's only been months, but it's been TOO LONG! :p

My latest news... I'm still dieting... working to keep off those 50 pounds and trying to lose more. Got sick and gained some then but getting better now.

I got to go out of town and visit my Faerie Godson for his Second Birthday!! We had the car have a flat tire on the way there (4-5 hour trip) and we walked about 3 miles in the dark on the freeway access road (holding hands with my hubby and singing :) ) till we were rescued by the Texas Parks and Wildlife ranger that happened to be patroling! Then he called the only towtruck with a tire shop and they had to send someone to open the shop because it was past midnight, and a one armed man towed us and replaced the tire! It was all pretty exciting! Then I had my visit with friends and stayed up there a week while my hubby went back home to work, and on the trip when he'd come up to pick me up and take me home the car started vibrating JUST like it did before the other blowout, and we had to stop partway home and stay with a friend overnight and replace ALL FOUR TIRES in the morning!

We celebrated my dad's 70th birthday, my mother in law opened a Mexican Restaraunt, and she's from Mexico so the food is AUTHENTIC, my cat got sick and I've learned how to wrestle her down and wrap her in towels and use a pill launcher to launch her medicine down her throat. I'm still learning Spanish, and just got Clan of the Cave Bear in Spanish.

I now have a used Gamecube and Playstation, not PS2 but the first version, and I'm slowly entering the madness of the world of console gaming, playing Animal Crossing and Zelda Windwaker, and Final Fantasy IX for my first gaming experience on consoles.

I'm saving up for Making Magic still because I have to save up and get my hubby's Christmas present first and that's going to take ALL my savings... I want to get him an x-box.

I think I mentioned I've been sick... part of that has been the smoke coming through the wall of the apartment from our neighbors next door, that's been awful! :( It comes and goes and I keep hoping it will stop permanantly somehow.

We're finally selling my old car, we hope, and my hubby is supposed to trade his old car with one his father got to trade to him, but the car dealer messed up the paperwork and misspelled his name so now years after paying off his car completely, he has to track down someone at that company who remembers HIM and can sign papers saying he IS the one who bought the car!

I think that's the highlights... how is everyone else doing?

    suitemichelle Gramma's here!

those typos can be expensive....... some typist at the property taxes dept of city typed the wrong street on this years taxes and was giving it to one of our neighbors.... Father in law caught the mistake online... husband took care of it. phew!

whooo that's a scary typo to cause all that potential trouble! I'm glad the caught that one before it got too far!! That reminds me of when I was little and we lived in a town named Salem Hills... and our city got some kind of a bill for the city of SALEM instead of for Salem Hills... and the bigger city didn't want to fix it! But they made them switch the bills back!!

Clan of the Cave Bear was very good, although I didn't think that the sequel (I can't remember what it was called) was so good. You see, I read a book once, but they are all the same. Just lines are funny angles.

Bah, when will I ever lose my dislike for the Xbox? You could get the Xbox, Fae, if you really want to. There are personal reasons why I wouldnt be getting one anytime soon, but I dont disagree with other people enjoying owning one.

I hope I can learn enough Spanish as I read for the book to make more sense as I go.. I remember reading it in English but that was a long time ago so I don't remember all the story! I'm glad you thought it was a good book Philip. :D I don't remember the name of the sequel either. :p

What game system would you recommend best for a guy who loves Basketball and Pinball games Oink? I'm open for suggestion! I HAD been going to get him PS2 till we had our Playstation (the first one, not PS2) practically land in our laps out of the blue, and then he was talking about how a Playstation 3 is supposed to come out in 2005... and then something about basketball games on his brother's x-box were mentioned... so I'm kind of up in the air and could go either way. :D

Wind in the Willows was the first book I ever voluntarily read and, I think, the best book ever written. The White Company was read to the class by the teacher and it was a very good book, I thought. It is quite different when you come to try and read it for yourself, isn't it?

Hmmm, if the game companies keep going turn-coat on us and keep making Xbox exclusive games (even though most of the Xbox EXCLUSIVE games blow in my opinion, and the good ones are just ports of games from other systems) then the Xbox would be the answer, Fae. There's no argueing that the Japanese know their games, and when only 2% of the people surveyed over there own an Xbox, you know something isnt right with that system. I would provide a link to the article I got that statistic from, but it's been a coupla weeks and I dont know where it is any more.

Now if the above reason isnt good enough, and your hubby wants his basketball games to look good AND play well at the same time, then get the Xbox. It's like everything American manufactured; big, unwieldy and lacks finess, but the graphics that machine pumps out is bar none the best there is in the history of gaming. But if he couldnt care less if he cant tell Duncan apart from Kidd, then get the PS2 or the GC. It's really the game and not the system that makes the most difference.
