I'm catching up on what I missed and this caught my eye, I think it's an interesting idea for sims to react to each other's outfits and have whether they like their own clothes or others' clothes have an effect on how they interact. I know they will have memory now, and that they will know who is a friend and who isn't, and I know that the sims 1 sims could tell us when they liked or didn't like an object placed in their house... so now I wonder what if they went over to their friends' house and didn't like most of the furniture there? Would they think less of their friend? Would they not enjoy themselves as much while they were over there? What does everyone think about this?
i cant WAIT 4 the teens...i want to see how much they r like real teenagers!! and toddlers and kids, babies and elders. pregnancy will be yuk tho... the 3d engine & zoom/rotating will be AWESOME...and of course i cant wait 2 see the 'playing'...lol
What does the IE in 'CasIE' stand for? Create-A-Sim ;Incase of Emergency? Idiotic Engineers? I.E? Involuntary Exercise? Indecent Evolution?
The aging system of course and I hear the new cooking system will be good as well, but over all I like the aging, how they turn into teens ^-^ I bet they're going to be pretty moody hehe
The Aging System abbreviates to TAS and CaSIE isn't CaSTAS so what do the individual letters I E stand for, anyone?
I think SimSugar was answering the general topic of the thread and not the post above theirs. I'm still not sure what the IE is for either and I hope someone who knows posts to tell us what it is!
It's ok. I'm lost half the time when that happens too... especially when the thread has gotten off topic for a couple of PAGES and then someone comes and responds to the original first post of the thread!! haha!
I think problee the aging system thingy, and the genetic thing with the DNA and stuff passed down. And also, I know this seems quite a small thing to be anticipating, but the fact that instead of having a 'set outfit' you have different tops, bottoms, and shoes. Much more alternating. Oh yea and CAS. I can make a little Sim to look just like me, then make one like my girlfriend, and see what the baby would look like! Ha ha ha!
Yeah but you'd have to train your sim and get character points or statistics for it to be like you, which kind of sucks since it takes up alot of time. It would be better if you could create your own routine. For example, To completely simulate you, say like that you're really charismatic in real life, then in the sims you should be able to put your points up as high as you want instead of earning them in the game. And also say like you have a routine and a job in real life, then you should be a ble to have a routine in the sims and choose whatevr job you have instead of earning it, because sometimes, you just want to sit back and see what you're really like in motion from a different perspective...
Oh yes, sorry, I was responding to the topic ha, but I don't think they've said anything about the IE, maybe it means nothing. It would be fun to have a sim like one's self, but it wouldn't be very cool if someone with bad habits were to be honest, ew. If they were really messy and such. And if we could do that, it wouldn't be much fun I enjoy having my sims sit on their bum and read books all day and night. A slooooow torture. but there is that DNA thing, I don't know what to call it, but what if you have a child...would they keep some of the Charisma points? Creativity? *shrug*
do you reckon that the new feature is that you can play with two or more sim households at the same time?
I think that THAT would make my head explode.... posted this somewhere else too, its from the Sims Scoop........... " Climbing the Corporate Ladder Send your Sims off to work! The Sims 2 introduces more career paths, so there are even more opportunities for your Sims to explore. As your Sims progress though their career tracks, they will access different clothes to show off their levels. If they make it to the top, not only will they have styling new threads, but they'll also unlock a special career object. Use these cool objects to help them build their skills, or to train other Sims. Take a peek at some exclusive screens of the brand new career objects."
I feel like my life in in slow motion. I am totally excited about all the features. I'm so glad they made a Sims2. It's like a dream come true. I especially like the life stages they go through instead of adult or child for eternity. (You could say that got a little rendundant.) Eeeek! I think I'm going to have a party when it comes out. Or I'll isolate myself from the whole world and play for days and days! haha...
Design mode and the architectural abilities will drive me CRAZY when i build my first house. I spend hours with normal sims, making my houses look as nice as possible... i can't imagine how long i'll take with design mode and 3 floors and arrgg!!!
::gasps:: i just think all the different things (memory, generations, character detail, ect.) put together will just be incredible. Absolutely cannot wait another, what, 2 months? ACK! *<8^) jules
I think I like all the custom stuff you can do now, like with the furnature so that you dont have 5 houses with the same stuff! The aging is really cool, and I love that they have a memory of things happening. I think it will be so overwhelming the first hour of play because you have all these new things you can do so it will be hard to know where to start first lol. Wonder if they will still have the Guinea Pig Disease in Sims2 *muahaha*
