Welcome back Sugar_Junkie...it's been a long time since you've posted!! I find it interesting that as I read some of the other's top 10 ideas, I think "oh, that would be interesting!" or "hmm, never thought of that one" so thanks for the ideas...not sure if any will ever happen but it is fun to dream.. And in my original post I meant to say that I didn't have any dreams I thought would be interesting "TO other people" not "for other people" just to clarify what I meant. As to the beaches of Normandy in Oink's post, it reminds me that one of my Dad's dreams was to return to Holland for the 50th anniversary of its liberation and he never did it and I've always felt bad about that and wished that I had pushed him more to do that before it was too late... :(
I understand that one assorted mess of what was to have been the mulberry harbours is still there - at the Normandy beaches. No doubt it is just a moss covered heap now.
Hi Tess, I didn't think I'd see ya here at all any more. But its a blessing to see you posting *gives tess the warmest tightest hug*
I guess it would be nice to see the place where the 101st, the 82nd and the rest fought and died. They deserve the same, if not more, acknowledgement and respect the folks of D-Day do.
