A pleading on behalf of a dog.

My dog has taken to standing by my bed at about 5.30 a.m. and telling me, without saying a single word, that he would like to go out. So I dutifully put on my slippers, walked down the stairs and opened the back door. Being a dog (not a *****) he declined to go out. I went back to bed and woke up the following morning a little late (about 7.30 a.m.) feeling a lot more tired than I would otherwise have done.
Who else gives in to what their dog (cat or whatever) asks them for? Immediately and without fuss? Who owns who anyway?

The stupidly asterixed out word was the lady version of a dog and was in no sense whatever a swear word. If the Americans do this just once more I shall never visit this site again. I do not swear generally because that is just one of those things that I do not generally do (on odd occasion, perhaps). I have never sworn in this forum but two words (now) have been asterixed out.

Well, I know of many cat owners who have given into their pets "apparent" hunger (see the cats on keyboard thread). I personally give in alot to my dogs, but both are walked regularly. As for the cat...

When I did have a dog I always neglected him, but not on purpose of course. It was more of a "I was used to being the only child, and I still havent gotten into my head that there's now an extra mouth to feed." kinda thing.

With some of my pets I give in and do whatever they want. It's hard to say no to some of them, because they're so cute.

It really kind of depends. If they act cute, they get whatever it is they want. ;) If they don't... well, nuts to them.

When my cat jumps up on the bathroom counter and insinuates she wants to drink out of the sink I often turn on the water just a trickle to give her fresh water when I know the water bowl in the kitchen is full and just refreshed that morning.... :p But I can stop anytime I want... really..... :whitekitty:
