The Sims I am a newbie to the world of Sims a friend introduced me to it, anyway i am courious to know are all the sims games interactive with each other, for example say i buy simscity 4 and build a city, and i The Sims can my Sim live in the city that i build in simscity 4 or in any othe the sims games? Or are The Sims only restricted the the expansion pack that are provide i am not sure if iam getting my idea across hopefully someone can answer this for me. i Live both Simcity4 and The Sims but would be nice if my sims could live in the city i created as well
There's a feature in SC4 that lets you insert any of your Sims into any residence in the cities that you've built. This helps you measure how well a particular neighborhood is doing from the citizen's point of view. It's a good tool for a Mayor, but beware though. None of the personalities of your Sims show in SC4. They will just be another face spewing an unlimited amount of info about their surroundings, but will not act nor react in any ways that you'd expect them to. The most glaring example of this is no matter what career a Sim was in in its native game, it'll always just look for another job once put into a city. So dont expect your Crime Boss to dominate a portion of the city the moment you put him in, because more than likely he'll just find himself a job at the local rendering plant instead of gettin' down and dirty with extortion, silent-bombing, or any of that good stuff.
cool thanks i understand that. i have been reading thru the board and i see people talking about Sims having sex i don't see how that can be if this is a teen game, on file planet where i download cool patches and updates for some of my games, i notice ther are nudes skins patch which is cool, but just courious as to how do you get the sims to have sex or to have children?
It's done in a way where you don't see anything that wouldn't be probably pg at most, the sims can just kiss a lot and it pops up the option to have a baby, or they "play" in bed, all you see is the covers moving and silly laughing noises.
ok thank i am fairly still new to the game and i have build up a good net work and already married so i'll see how i can maintain it all , i already had adobtion agency call but pass the choice up. Does it show the wife pregant as well?
The Sims is going to give younguns the wrong idea about the "Birds and Bees" I swear. It doesnt help the parents who have to give the "speech" later on either. Anyways, back on topic. When you choose to have a baby, a "magical" cloud of daisies appear and then a crib with a baby in it just appears out of nowhere. The same goes for adoption, if I remember correctly. You also can not choose the gender of the baby either. The only way to do that is to create a child at the same time you do a family. I dont think I left out anything of importance, but just in case you have any questions just ask them and we'll try to help.
thanks i am a adult so i know about the birds and bees but your right about the wrong idea towards teens i have been reading thru the message board jsut to get idea and tips on how to play the game better i have found lots of help here thanks all of you and the webmaster for creating this board
