ITS HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EVERYONE GO THERE NOW!!!! [Added:] OK OK!!!! THE NEW FEATURE IS........ CAMERA MODE!!!! AND..... STORYTELLING MODE!!! ( IM SORRY ABOUT CAPS BUT IM SO... UMMMM......surprised....) actually this is kinda weak... i mean.... CAMERA MODE!!! WOW... really.... ( end sarcasm) ok now.... camera mode is just a camera that you cant control or something but you go around and get extremely close to your sim ( which i thought we knew already judging by pics we seen ) and for one.... i think thats bull because all the stuff we guessed on were not only what we thought but what we wanted and no one guessed this and no one really cared... you guys can post your thoghts on this if you want but for me... i dont care TOO much about camera mode as much as the DNA and life cycyle..... I mean.... whats so much better in camera mode than the life cycle and DNA and all that cool stuff!!! i mean... this is weak and ManagerJosh I can't seem to fit ALL of your hints but pretty much all of them fit in there.... but maybe i need to get my dictionary out Well anyway... I am not too happy about it but i guess its just one more feature to be happy about..... i guess..... but uhhh.... i just think the features we already had were better than this new one and i dont think this feature ( this particular feature ) should have been so OVERHYPED!!!1111111 and it really wasnt worth wasting my time... at least i know but sorry for dragging on...
Dude im gonna have ta disagree, i think this new feature, kicks butt, cuz now u can REALLY see what your sims look like, the artwork, the hardwork, the facial expressions, the D E T A I L !!!!, OH GOD THE DEATAIL!!!. personally i think this feature really really really is revolutionary. But what i hate is that maxis is making it EXTREMELY suspencful on all of us who want the game, it just keeps on adding to the suspence!!!!!!!!, the suspence!!!!!!!!!!!!!. and thats all i have to say.
The feature is not as "BIG" as I was imagining. However, I think it is extremely cool. Being able to pause and then take you time configuring your shot...that's cool. Plus, we get to choose focal length and all that. Pretty neat stuff. Now where is CaSIE!
I don't care about camera mode,i thought it would be a really good feature but i think its nothing great, just my opinion
Well i stated this many time of about the camera mode, panoramic views, 360 degree movement of the camera, and zoom in close and out, The first person mode i didn't guess that but i read it in theads on the official sims website. plus maxis already said they would fix the camera mode or view in this game it is old news. i am guess this isn't all the big feature, dual mode is not revoluntionary, maybe not in many pc games , but i am sure arcade style and console games have implement that feature into one of their games, might be to new to pc games Well maxis never went into any great details and lenght about the build, buy and decorating modes. the other half of the new feature could be that we will be get new tools for these modes also. as in creating many architectural styles for home, being able to customize furniture to a new level, creating custom content to create new furniture items by changing textures. instead of creating a new core object, we can just apply a new texture to create a completely new object. i am still hope for my new building, decorating, and landscaping tools, like a 3d planner that would help us to build and create houses faster, easier, and better the Camera mode will be a cool item to have. i will definitely use this feature. It will definitely make the game better, the storytelling mode, well i am not into storytelling actually, but the edit features in it can be useful for other purpose. I think some people and not thinking for the full potentials of having these features, us as fan need to start thinking like maxis. look at the game it's features from a new level.
I recently finished a tv/broadcast major and would love to make independent movies. Often I find myself between a rock and a hard place when coming up with ideas on writing a script. I think these features would come in handy with helping me write a movie script. Not only would I be able to see the characters interact, but I'd get to see what camera angle I like the best and would want to use in a movie. I could use the game to do a better storymode and then write it in script format. I also think the film-strip part of the story mode is perfect for creating a 3d comic strip/book etc. I'm really excited for the game now.
IT aint the best but I can't complain. I mean I can actually see my sim get regected through his eyes. It was publicised alot so I thought it's be something like being able to plot murder on another sim (which would be SOOOO cool! Like if you hate someone you get the option of plotting murder against them and when you least expect it-SLICE!) Oh anyway its kinda dissapointing but it still is pretty good.
