As of last week I joined WorldSims and just thought I should say Hi :)

Since I can never catch anyone in Chat, I thought I would take some time to let everyone know who exactly IrishDragon is since I have been posting but no one knows who I am. Everyone so far seems to be really cool and nice and so I have made plans to move into WorldSims for awhile to be apart of the "gang". My name is Susan, im a 21 yr. old stay-at-home mom of a wonderful 1yr. old son Drake. I will be married for 2 years this May and my husband is in the military (AirForce) so for right now we live in Virginia next to Langly AFB. I am half Irish and my husband is half Japanese and the other half is somewhat of a mix of alot of things... alot of Indian but not to sure which. I love video games, I have every console but the XBox, im into Rock music (heavy or light) but really depends on my mood because I can listen to just about anything. When I get the time I like reading about Medieval times and collecting fish. Well not so much collecting but I just like having fish. Although my fish tank is spooky, I put fish in (all compatable with eachother) and the next day or so they start dissapearing! I think they get trapped under a castle I have in there but its to disturbing to take it out with the knowlage that there might be tiny fish skeletons there  Anyways... with all this babbling everyone should be tired of reading but I just wanted to say hello to everyone in the Forums and hope to see some of ya soon in chat :D

    Warmest Greetings and Salutations

Hi Susan! It's great to hear about you. The picture of you and your baby is beautiful. I love how your baby is poking it's tongue out like he's soooo cheeky. ;) Since you have revealed yourself...here are some things about me:
My name is Alison. I am 29 years old. I have 2 babies, my son Jesse is 4 and my daughter Chloe is 2. I used to teach high school Art, English and Science (but please don't hold it against me) but now I attend university part-time studying Australian Environmental Science (I have 2 years to go). I love reading Science Fiction and like to watch Survivor on T.V. On weekends I enjoy taking my partner and babies to the beach or out to the bush and watching them all explore worlds that are hard to find in the city. My son caught his first wave on a beat up old body board just the other day and I was so proud! I also love fish too. We used to have a great tank but then Jesse got old enough to start putting things into it:eek: when we weren't looking so that was the end until our babies get old enough NOT to. As a bit of recompense for not having a fish tank, I do fish counts in local waterways and a lot of rehabilitation work of creeks and lagoons.
So that is me in brief...*grin* hope it gives you some insight. Hope to talk to you in chat one day :D

I agree with the "cute baby" assessment! Not that you didn't look good either but you know what I mean! :p Anyway, I also want to welcome you to the site but until I can figure out why I can't enter this chat, I'll just have to talk to you in the forum pages...I, also, am a stay-at-home mom with 3 teenagers so guess I am the "oldster" of the group. We also have the fishtank experience happening but fortunately my kids are old enough to leave it alone and we also have fish go missing...not often but sometimes...I assume someone in the tank has a appetite that won't quit but things have gotten better since I let my daughter feed the goldfish to her snake...they were nasty little fish and liked to kill even supposedly compatible fish. Even with them gone, I just found one of my Bala sharks dead...but I think one of the others probably head-butted him as the swordtails, etc. are pretty lively and zip around the tank at a good clip and the Bala is slower moving... Anyway, glad to meet ya and hope you continue to enjoy this group...

LOL... fed the goldfish to the snake! Thats one way to get rid of a problem fish! I have no idea whats up with mine, I have 3 angel fish, some tetras (sp?) and one guppy (the other 3 dissapeared). So I have no idea who is eating who lol. Or maybe they got the idea when I bought and watched Finding Nemo with my son... the whole escape through the window, across the street, into the harbor (no harbor here tho.) lol. Where is eveyone from?
lol.. no worries MangroveJane about the teacher thing, i liked art and science alot... but english.... i swear i had to stop myself from setting the book on fire many of times while doing homework!

Lol Irish. I had a hard tiime sitting through English as well...I was just good at it. Science was even harder for me even though I really liked it. We had this really boring lecturer at university-the kind that likes to read lecture notes from a screen in front of the class in a monotone. After boring us for two hours straight he would then turn all the lights in the lecture theatre off and show a equally boring video. Those lights going off were a signal for me to just fall straight ASLEEP!!! Hmm...Lucky I passed really. ;)

Heh, my gov. and economics teacher was like that and somehow I was the only one that could manage to stay awake the whole time... he even once walked over to me in the middle of a lecture to shake my hand because I was the only one still awake in the class lol.

Oh my Irish, now that is really saying something!! You'd think the guy would have grabbed a clue and tried livening up his class a bit. I'm afraid I never got to University so my image of most professors is like that boring guy on that TV commercial who talks in a total monotone. It always reminds me of that Will Farrell character on SNL that keeps saying he has a problem with his modulation. So, although I never have listened to a lecture, I have sat through sermons that would have put Jesus to sleep and that's almost as bad as having had to sit through a two hour lecture. Isn't it?

ROFL Book. Yep that sounds EXACTLY like most of my lecturers. The unfortunate thing is that although the lecturers are mostly really intelligent people with a ton of degrees, none of them ever think to get a degree in teaching! *DUH!*
