Passion of the Christ I think it will be a wonderful movie that will change millions of peoples lives. Many people that will not step foot into a church may indeed step foot into a theater to see this powerful movie. I have not yet seen it but I have heard volumes spoken about it. The Passion of the Christ is said to be so moving that when the film ends, the theater remains silent except for the sounds of the audience crying. Very amazing.
i saw it!! it was good... imo. it was extremely gorey(sp?), but a real powerful movie. it almost made me cry, but i held it in .
I REALLY want to see it but hasn't come to our town yet...might travel to a larger town to see it next week as several of my friends have already seen it when they were in the city and say that it is an incredibly moving movie...as to the goreyness of the film...well, that is how it really went during a Roman execution. I read a report by a doctor that explained all the things that a person suffers during a crucifiction and it is generally held to be the most excruciating method of execution ever devised by man.
Passion of the Christ Hopefully many of the non-christian (whether it be atheist or non-declared) people who see The Passion of the Christ movie will be forever changed by it... I pray to god that will be the case and not the opposite...
I saw it last night and well, regardless if you were a Christian or not I think the movie moves you in the direction towards Christ whether you want it to or not.
I agree! My friends went to see it and they all came back and are now even more religous than before. I wanted to see it but I was BROKE!!!
I finally managed to see this film today. It was very moving and emotional to think that this happened... First movie ever to bring me to tears. Although, I don't get why some of the critics were saying it was a 'pornography of violence'... It makes me wonder if they've ever watched a horror movie, or done research on Roman crucifictions? Seems to me that they haven't, or they're just ignorant (maybe both).
There was a mild exaggeration to the film... during the part where they whipped Jesus.. It said in the Bible he was whipped 40 times... however I counted somewhere in the 80s..
I figured there would be a bit of exaggeration in the film. Maybe Gibson was trying to get a point across that He suffered more than needed? Not sure. There was also a couple of things they didn't add to the film. Like that one Roman who said something along the lines of: "Surely this man was the Son of God".
