    Bizzarre Body Shop

    Hi,

I'm having the weirdest time with this thing. At first I thought it was my video card but now I'm thinking otherwise. See when I load it up, pure, without the added packs from Maxis and the others, if I go to the side where you make the custom stuff *sorry forgot the name* and go to eyes, there's the mannequin. With underwear. Then if I go to hair, the mannequin is still there, rotateable and in some clothes. And I pick the one hair style and it works.

    GOod right?

Then if I go to skin, the mannequin disappears. If I go back to eyes, its gone. Same with Hair.

If I go to the CAS part nothing shows up either.

For the mannequin to show up again, I have to exit the program and go back into it and redo the whole thing. But only eyes and hair under the customizing part works. (The button on the right)

Now the question I have is that if it was my video card why does the mannequin show up at all? Shouldn't it never show up?

OR is the whole file just completely corrupt?

Upgrade DirectX that would be my suggestion
    http://www.microsoft.com/directx/

I would also update your video card drivers as well to make sure they support the latest versions of DirectX.

My driver is as updated as its going to be. And I have Direct x 9. My question is that if it is indeed my driver, I shouldn't be seeing anything at all. So am I able to see the mannequin in the above mentioned modes?

The mannequin is attendant on purpose.
It just because when you "Create Parts", you dont need to see something special about the effigy, just the parts you create.
you just need to ignore it, because you create there the things that will be ON the sim, and not THE sim.
Hope you understand, my English is bad :ponder:

The File just might be corrupt. If you are sure that your graphics aren't the problem, it might be worth while uninstalling Body Shop and then trying to reinstall it. If the problem shows up again, then a look into your graphics may shed some light.

I've downloaded and reinstalled a number of times with the same results. However, there are other people on the Sims bbs with the exact same problem from varying levels of cards and computers. Which means it isn't a graphics card problem.

Its a bug with Maxis. Unfortunately, by them constantly saying its a problem with the card, they're ignoring the fact that its their own error somewhre in the program for all these people to have disappearing Sims mannequins who appear on certain aspects of BS and not on others.
