I'm learning Corel Painter8 (and will also be learning Adobe Photoshop in a few weeks), MayaPLE and HTML. I figure those will keep me *very* busy over the summer!
For now I'm mostly playing UT2004 and working with UED3 and MayaPLE to try and make my own maps. Hopefully my MayaPLE skills will come in handy for the sims. So far I like what I see. The body shop is very user friendly so far and offers a tremendous amout of modification.
I'm playing roller coaster tycoon 2 and the PS2 sims games. I also spend alot of time playing bodyshop... Or trying to... and playing the sims 2!:chinese:
I'm keeping busy, just got a gameboy advance sp and the game Harvest Moon Friends of Mineral Town... so that's the current distraction, along with re-reading a ton of my books I haven't read in a long time, and making body shop content, and TRYING to get around to working through a few learning experiements in 3D.... That should keep me busy!
I've been playing a few addictive games such as RCT2, Zoo Tycoon and SplinterCell to keep me busy until the release.
Just found a adobe photoshop lesson book at Costco.... So even tho it's for a more advanced version than what I have, at least now I can learn the basics. Hooray!
been pacing the room waiting for the sims 2, nintendo ds, and pokemon leaf green/fire red (all coming out in the same general time frame)
I have a cat who sometimes does that. All that happens is that he gets bald spots and bad hairballs. :winks:
I cut 8 inches off the length of my hair, re-did all the graphics and layout for my blog, and scrubbed down my kitchen floor, counters, stove, and toaster oven this week.... Maybe I'm grooming EVERYTHING?!
I'm pretty much not doing anything besides playing TS1 like crazy and surfing through all these sims fansites...then there's always msn messenger:silly: but in two weeks I'll have something to take my mind off TS2, at least for a few days.. I'm going on a shopping spree in Denmark! :coolnessl: can't wait, it's gonna be so much fun:silly: then I'll probably just find something else to do..find an really adiccting game, or maybe get my old PS1 from the basement and plug it in! hey, that's a good idea! then there's always my baby..my guitar! and I wont be forgetting my friends..I hope lol...nahh I wont forget about them! so I guess I'll have tons of stuff to do! but it's still gonna be a looooooong wait....
A shopping spree in Denmark sounds like a ton of fun! And playing guitar should keep you busy. I need to play more sims 1 but I keep forgetting I'm meaning to play it, with everything ELSE I'm using to distract myself, haha!
To keep myself busy.. I am here... talking... LoL Well to speed up time for myself I dont want school to start... that seems to always speed up something... not wanting something... but if you want it, it will go slow.... So say to yourself (I DONT WANT THE SIMS 2 COMING OUT) BUT MAKE SURE MAXIS KNOWS WE REALLY DO; and we DONT WANT THEM TO DO A RECALL
Hahaha so you're using reverse psychology to make it not seem to long! Great idea!! My latest distraction is packing up all the pots and pans and dishes and winter clothes and tons of BOOKS we're not using right now, getting ready to MOVE before Sims 2 comes out! This is a pretty big distraction!
I've been watching 'trading spaces', "what not to wear", "While you were out" and a whole bunch of hdtv.... it's almost like learning to be an interior designer... for free.
