Are you Getting the DVD Version? It looks like there is a DVD Disc version.... so thinking about getting it?
I might consider it if I understood exactly what it was! Do I need a DVD drive to play the game on my computer, or is it just that the disc can be put in my dvd player that's hooked up to the tv and I can see extra features on my tv?
*Blinks at Fae * I think you need a DVD ROM for your computer to play it. When I was planning my new PC with a DVD ROM drive this came out.... how funny! So if this is true, yes I will buy the DVD version.
I'd been hoping that it would come in a DVD version. So, I've already switched my preorder to the DVD.
I think they are the same price, aren't they? Might as well get the DVD-ROM version. I love my DVD-ROM drive. It runs DVDs and CDs. Who needs the standard drives anyhow?
The ones they advertised on the EB Games site were the same price for both the CD and DVD. When I changed my order at Gamestop it was sthe same price for both. (Same release day too.)

Yes you seem to ask the same question about the DVD version... you do need a DVD-Rom on your computer to play it... you may possibly play it on a regular DVD Player just for the mini-games, interviews, and the other additions.... I will be getting the DVD version... 1) I dont have a game on DVD 2) It only needs 1 Disk 3) Extra Features 4) Its much faster (Believed to be) 5) I just want THE SIMS 2 :disappointed:

ill be getting it if i can either A) Fix My Current DVD Drive (it will read cd's just not dvd's) or B) get a new one. but right now im set on the cd version.
Today in the Maxis chat they said that the game would take 4 CDs. I think it might be worthwhile to have a DVD drive whether you get a new one or get your DVD ROM fixed.
i must get a DVD ROM drive when I get my computer. Then I will pet it and stroke it and call it my own :cheeky:
