My new TS2/SC4 neighborhoods I've been having a blast creating new neighborhoods for TS2. We finally have more information to help us with figuring out things like how much room to leave and where we'll be placing lots, etc. So, I thought I'd share a few of my "neighborhoods" with you.
Ooh, I LOOOOVE the island one. =) I can imagine all my huge posh mansions there, with the gated access and security guards... Great job! Really makes me want to pick up a copy of SC4! (Too bad they don't sell it without Rush Hour anymore).
People have been getting them used in just the "vanilla" form. I'm not sure which one you're calling the "island" one. If it is the one with the tiny island in the middle, I don't know if I left enough room for really huge posh mansions. I was thinking more little vacation cabins when I made that one. I'm thinking I'll probably put in loads of trees because I wanted it to be more of a holiday resort type place. However, the mansions can be on the shore side as I believe I left plenty of room for 5x5 lots (which seem to be the biggest on the Lot Placement UIs we've seen.
Slightly off topic, but I just wanted to let you know that I went ahead and ordered the game off eBay (the vanilla version), so I'll be able to join in on the neighborhood frenzie. The island would definitely be a great place for small cabins. I didn't even think of that. With the possibility of four floors, my mind has been stuck on huge amazing mansions. =) I forget that simple sims like smaller places!
I suspect that once I'm done with it, it will look more temperate than tropical. I envision something along the lines of a Northern Idaho type of lake (not exactly warm most of the year. I never wanted to go into the water until August. Brrrrr.)
