Troubleshooting Will Sims 2 run

    Will Sims 2 run

    i have windows XP pro edition and i have a 2.0 proccesser and a NVidia GEforce3 which i know is what i need. now my RAM i only have 128 will it work just run a bit slow or is all hope lost for my computer

    Just upgrade your memory a lot, like 512MB and you should be fine.

    do u know how and how much it would cost. i have a Dell dimension 8200 if thats any help

    wow, i just typed a long reply and lost it! :) oh well, here it goes again:

    i went to dell's site and pulled up the specs for the dimension 8400 (couldn't find an 8200 anywhere, there's dell for ya) and by the looks of it you already have 512 MB of SYSTEM RAM. The 128 MB you saw earlier might be dedicated VIDEO RAM on the actual card.

    but those specs may not be the same as yours (since it is a different model number) so what you can do to help us out is go to system information (start/programs/accessories/system tools/system information) and go to edit/select all, edit/copy, then open a new post on this board and paste everything into a post. that'll help us discover what kind of system you actually have and we'll be more able to help you from there.
