I cant build :( hey, idk whats the problem but i cant build in mine, i click on all the build tools but when i bring the mouse to where i want to build something there is nothing, just the arrow. Does anyone else have this problem?
So how are we suppose to build then? If you don't have the No-CD Crack, the game won't work....I can't build either, just a pointer. Is there any way to fiz it? Thanx
The game won't lauch on a copied/imaged disc: it locks up at the splash screen. My friend tried it with the leaked version, then discovered this same build problem when he tried circumventing it with the No-CD. Frustrated him to no end Solution: Buy the real game.
The problem isn't only in copied/leaked versions of the sims. I bought the game, and proceeded to install it, but then the game wouldn't recognize that I had the DVD in the rom so I could play it. It's something that I'm not sure Maxis has addressed to the fullest extent necessary yet. If you look on their message boards, there are TONS of people having that same problem.. who've bought the game. -Seridia
Ah, I bought the CD version (only have to swap CDs during install..and everyone has a CDrom drive ) so I wouldn't know why it's doing that ;(
Humm... well, a way to get around that, I suppose, is to virtualDVD the whole thing onto the harddisk and get the game to read from the virtual drive instead of the real DVD. It's a real pain in the rear though... :ermm:
Dunno if that would even work, since a) Its probably something wrong with the way the DVD is written anyway, and b) drom what I've read, TS2 checks to see if you are using any form of virtual drive.
