Why do the stupid DVD edition's not work

I dont know. Man!!!! My stupid DVD edition sucks! I've installed all the drivers u saidd 2intstall. I've id the crap with direct x. But still the graphics SUCK! and if i do put it on HIGH QUILITY MODE. I hate it. The stupid game has a mind of its own. Like whenever i change my settings. They'll go back when i restart the game. Should i just return the DVD editon? PLEASE HELP. Because i havent heard a lota posts for people who have the normal game, So

If i do het the DVD edition, Will the graphics be better. If you would like to know. Right now my graphics are like 6/10 and that really sucks. If the game was this much memory they should have made it smaller so that everyone can use it. I have a 2002 VAIO. And the graphics SUCK. So Should i try getting a new regular version of the game. and then if that dont work i change my graphic card.

By the way coud u mention what kind o graphic card i would need

    PLEASE REPLY ASAP

Whether you use the DVD or CD edition only affects how many discs you have to deal with - there's no difference in the game.

If by settings not sticking you are referring to the resolution, I found the cause and fix for that. See my article here: http://www.confoozled.com/confoozion/archives/000303.shtml

If they made the system requirements lower it would not improve the quality of the graphics, it would likely make them worse. If you don't have a video card capable of displaying high quality 3D graphics, then you just don't, regardless of how the game is written. The graphics aren't extremely high quality on my system either - my video card is just too outdated. But it's something I can live with for now, and I'm asking for a new video card for Christmas.
