My Game Wont Work!!! peeps im havin a mid life crisis her. i bought the game yesterday and i installed but wen i went to play the graphics kept flashing red .im not quite wat it is . if any1 can help plz reply to dis .i dont wont to go through life not bein able to pplay on sims 2:(

maybe it has something to do with your graphic card? my sister plays the sims2 on her own pc which has a graphic card that can be considered as ancient graphic card and the graphics in the sims2 that are originally blue, turned red instead
Hi my name is Tasha, last night I brought The Sims 2 and I got it downloaded to both my desktop and laptop computer and here is what the messages said when I tried to play it on both desktop and laptop... Laptop Computer: Microsoft windows detected and recovered from a device failure. Please save your work and reboot to restore full functionality. The laptop it plays then it cuts off with that message but I can still hear the music in the background Desktop Computer: it says Failed to find any Directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have Directx 9.0c compatible graphics adaptor and have installed the lastest drivers provided! What does that mean? Do anyone know? Can someone help a sista out plz! I can't afford to buy a new computer So what can I do?
First of all, the message you're getting on your laptop sounds like a hardware issue that is not related to the game. Need to have it looked at by a tech. For DirectX just go to Microsoft's site and you can download the latest directx for your computer and that will fix that issue. Good luck and happy gaming.
