Help Clothes for toddlers and children I have bought clothes on the commnity lot for everyone in the family. The adults have shown up in the plan outfit area of the cupboards. BUt the outfits i bought for the toddlers and children are not showing at all - how on earth can i get them to wear the clothes i've wasted $400 on !!! Plus the bog standard clothes are naff they would look much better in the ones i just faulked out for ! Please help b4 they grow up lol
I had this same problem, I had the father in my sims family go buy clothes for his twin toddlers, and when I got him home I could not figure out how to change my toddler's clothes!! I saw the changing table had options to dress my kids in "Everyday" but I saw no plan outfit options. I clicked on the dresser the parents had and that gave no options for planning toddler's outfits... I clicked plan outfit just in case but it only gave me options for planning the outfit of the sim I had click on it. My toddlers are teens now, but for future toddlers I'd still love to know how to make this work!
I have the same problem with the toddlers clothing. The Children can go to the dresser and select plan an outfit and it will show up, but I can't change the toddlers clothing.
I'm also wondering about that.. I think I'll just try to find the answer at sims2.com, though their threads are a bit hard to search in =)
The only way is to buy your child only ONE clothes I figured that out when I bought ONE only. The next time I changed my child to a "everyday" outfit, its the one that I bought for him. But he'll only be stuck in the one outfit though. There's no possible way to change it :(
I got this from the official sims2 webbie. Someone posted a question like yours and this was the answer given : This is a known issue that we are working to resolve. Unfortunately, until this is resolved you will have to use the Toddler's default Everyday and Sleepware clothing items until they reach Child level. Once they reach Child level and you buy them Child clothes, they can use the Wardrobe object to 'Plan Outfit' with their new clothes just like Teens, Adults, and Elders.
You can reset the default, however, by buying a different toddler outfit before they become a toddler. But I'll be glad when the bug is fixed. (Although that can wait until the EP comes out as I'd rather they spent more time on some of the issues which are really interfering with game play.)
