Troubleshooting Urgent!!!!

    Urgent!!!!

    peeps im in urgwnt help of u all.ive done eveerythin o try and get the sims 2 to play but no matter wat i do it work .let me tell u wat the problem is. evverytime i go to play ts2 the mouse keeps flickering on and off and when i choose a neighbourghood the houses and the hills everthin flashes red .but apart from that everthing else works fine .now ive wiped my pc 3 times now and nothin works so ive narrowed it down to 1 thing. my xp version is winds xp cooperate ( is my dads computer not mine really) and my friends have got windows xp home edition an it works sweetly on his .anyway if any1 can help or i need to be more pecific plz replay bak anythin will hep :confused: :confused: :mad:

    It's doubtful that it has anything to do with the professional version of XP. I have that on my computers and I've had no problems.

    It would help if you posted your complete information (see Manager Josh's post about what to post for problems). There are a number of people around who know computers and can help you troubleshoot the game. And if that doesn't work, your next best bet is to call EA Tech support.

    2. 512 mb ram
    3. total hard disk space: 37.2 gb
    4: free hard disk space: 33.9 gb
    5. sims2 cd version
    6. directX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904)
    7. chip type : ATI RV100 (QY)

    Sounds to me like a graphics driver problem. Have you visited ATIs site and upadted to the latest drivers for the card?

    Also, if your card isnt T and L capable then you will need a CPU of AT LEAST 2.0ghz speed.
