Pregnancy only occurs when you choose "Try for baby". If you simply choose "Woohoo", you will never receive a baby. "Accidents" do not occur here. There are no abortions.

Well I'm not sure about the woohoo thing because my sim got pregnant doing that. I think it's like how you feel about that sim! Before you can get pregnant bye woohooing

What you're describing is impossible: You never get a baby purely by choosing "Woohoo", unless your finger slips and you choose the wrong one. Which Sim was it? If it was a Maxis sim, at least one of them is already pregnant to begin with.

I've had Sims not have babies using the "Try for Baby" option, but I've never had Sims have babies using the "Woohoo" option. It either must have been a glitch, or a slip of the fingers, like ^^^^ said.

I had a family where the parents could only really have fun by 'woohoo' and hence would do it at will themselves. The family is now max size and I have not once chosen "Try for Baby".

I am pretty sure that every time they are 'getting it on' the indicator says woohoo, and they are both romance sims rather than family sims...

The female is only halfway through her adult life and has 6 children. ( they woohoo and impregnate as soon as a child is born... i should have sold that double bed! )

Autonomous Woohoo may, in fact, randomly select between the two. If you manually choose merely "Woohoo", they will never produce children. I've never actually seen sims autonomously choose to woohoo on their own, though, likely because I rarely release my death grip on them long enough to do so when a family is so poorly off that every need must be micromanaged.
