Help with censor patch please

Help with censor patch please

Hi there all, I wonder if anybody can help me.
Right, I downloaded the patch to take away the censor haze from my sims...mainly because its irritating and also because you dont get pixellated in real so I dont want it on my sims game either.
Annnnnnnyway, I got it and couldnt get it to work on my game and then I was messing around and it worked, but I have NO clue how I did it.
I had to wipe it all from my system the other day and reinstall it and so I lost the patch...now, Ive re-downloaded it and I have followed the instructions down to the letter and nothing is working.
Ive posted on other forums and people just post exactly what the instructions Ive already followed are and so Im learning nothing new.
Can anybody talk me through how they got theirs to work, bit by bit....really break it down to exact mouse clicks and everything, please :depressed:
Well...Ill be waiting and hoping that somebody can help me, without just telling me where to put the file because as far as Im aware...Ive put it exactly where they instruct you to put it and done everything anyone has told me to do with no joy....HELPPPPPPPP me please.
