    System Requirements, Help!

Before i bought TS2 i looked at the system requirements on the bottom of the box i had everything times 2 in the ram etc.. but instead of having ATI Radeon 7200 or greater or NVIDIA Geforce2 or greater i have Intelextreme (i have windows xp and 59mb 4 my video card 2 times the amount needed and for the video + sound : i got Directx 9.0 compatible)

Now i'm noticing that there are frequent pauses while im paying and it take aLONG time to load , also when i minimize the game it can't start up again without me closing the game and starting it up again and it only lets me invite 2 people when i have a party
would i have to buy the proper video card thingy for it to work well?

    New vid card

The vid card will solve everything but the party.

The only way to increase your parti-tude is to throw good parties and get rich.

The maximum number of people you're allowed to invite is also being limited by your video card. It's possible to use a code to override this number, but given your actual system specs at present, I wouldn't advise this. Upgrading your system will also increase your maximum party number, and maximum number of community lot visitors.

Unless you have a motherboard with an 8x AGP slot I suspect that you won't see a lot of improvement for your bucks. Wedging a display card into a PCI slot is, at best, a cobbled up solution. You already have all the bits all you need is a new tower case with some decent bits inside. I just did a Google search using "custom pc build" and found loads of companies that will build you exactly what you want for a reasonable price.

My last monitor was used with 4 different computers. I only replaced it because I wanted some of the space it used. My LCD monitor has seen service with two puter's so far ... (meanwhile I have gone thru half a dozen k/boards and countless mice).

If at all possible don't buy computers from big chain stores. They are always a compromise design comprised of job lots of components.

I don't know where you are in the world, but US prices look very firm at the moment. UK prices are in the cellar at the moment and will likely get even lower immediately after Xmas.

Anyway good luck with whatever you decide ...

You know, before I came to these forums, I wasn't even aware that mobos without AGP slots existed after 2000. AGP is old. If you have a system without PCI-Express (the latest) or AGP, you really need motherboard + CPU + RAM + video card and perhaps power supply upgrades. Given the amount of money you save from not getting new optical drives + hard drives + case + speakers + keyboard/mouse + monitor + warranty, a new computer is, IMO, always a waste of money.

Still, if there is no AGP slot, the least you'd have to do is AGP or PCI-E motherboard + video card compatible w/ either AGP or PCI-E (depending on mobo) + CPU compatible w/ mobo + RAM compatible w/ mobo. Quite a handful. You might just have to settle with new "case-only" computer.

I believe that I was recommending a case onlly solution. If Flameangel has onboard graphics it highly likely that the hardware is big name branded and as such the supplied OS will be wedded to the motherboard making replacement a pain in the neck.

I still have my last tower case, it's networked to this machine so I can use its 200GB of hard drives ... I am a complete kleptomaniac.
