Starting the game I have completed the installation, but as soon as I put in the DVD into the DVD-rom, the msg pops up saying "Please insert the correct CD-ROM, select OK and restart application" on top it reads, "Cannot locate the CD-ROM" I tried putting it in the DVD/CD RW, it popped up, "Please insert the correct DVD-ROM, selec....." The bonus DVD plays just fine in this one. The utility info shows everything in green check-marked, except for, display device, display driver, sound driver they are white balloon with blue 'i' HP XP memory 512.3 processor 3000.3 DirectX version 9.0c Display device: ASUS A9200SE display mem: 128 display driver: 6.14.10.6476 sound device: Realtek AC97 Audio sound driver: 5.10.5410 Please help!
I had that problem too but my stepdad fixed it by installing a patch where you dont need the cd. It works now but now I cant build anything...
simswontstart: id search the forum since this has been discussed a couple times from what i can tell. sweetartfreak: that is an unofficial patch is why. and it is not allowed to be discussed here since its related to the warez version of the game.
