Getting back kids taken away by Social worker Is it possible to get them back somehow???? I see that they are not deleated from the game, cuz they are still counted for family friends.... Does anybody know how to get these kids back to the game????
They're up for adoption: If another family adopts them, they'll return to the game, although they lose their original family connections. It can be pretty creepy.
Wait, they lose all original family ties?? THAT is certainly interesting. I can see the possibilities now... Anyhow, it's possible to make them live with their original family by moving in then moving the adult out, but the family tie can only be fixed by SimPE'ing.
I had the same problem in the Curious family: Pascal had an alien baby and by the time it grew up to Child and started going to school it got taken away by the SS. Just because the game thought "it was not a good a idea to leave <child's name> (Greeny) home alone"... Anyway, I had Pascal call immediatelly to adopt a child but of course this was refused. Later on (several in-game days) I had Vidcund call to adopt a child and Greeny is back! Living in the same family, however the parent connection goes to Vidcund now and not Pascal anymore. But he's back and after all, that was my goal So my conclusion is: yes, it's possible to adopt a child that was taken away by the SS into the same family, as long as the adopter was not the initial parent.
Something funny happened once to me, I had a sim kid taken away by the social worker from family A, so the parents we're upset and cried about it everyday therefore I decided to get them another kid and once the new kid grew up to be a child, one day the child came home from school with the kid that was taken away by the social worker! and to make matters worst they both have the same name which was "Dawn Jr." with the exact same face and outfit! sorry just had to share this, it was quite a weird thing for me lol but to answer your question, yes if you did use another family to adopt a child, your lost child might be the one they adopt. However like it was explained earlier, the child's family name will be changed of course
lol In one of my families all the 5 kids were girls... They looked the same, wore the same hairdress, the same clothes and had exectly the same face =) So I had to change all that stuff 4 them =) lol
I was able to recover kids that were removed by the Social Worker using SimPE. They were taken due to bad grades. At first I simply used SimPE to move them back to their family, but they always were retaken. What eventually worked for me was moving them back to their family on a weekend day. Since there is no school on the weekends, it seems like their bad grades were forgotten. Having 2 days to improve their moods ultimately allowed them to complete their homework and all continued to be fine. I do not know if I lucked out somehow or if the above method was a fluke. It might be worth a shot if all else fails. -Hrnac
It's only possible to get your child back if you have another Adult or Elder in your family. If you don't, your SIM might have somebody that they love. Try to get them to move in and either Try for a Baby or Get the other person to call the Adoption Service.
