Build tools not working,HELP !!! ok..in my game the build tools aren't working..not even one.everything else is fine..the live and buy mode..but i can't create houses and gardens and water and stuff likethat.When i click build mode and then i click at anything there their is no speical cursor and when if i click the cursor nothing happens. I even went to the tutorial to kno if im doing sumthin' wrong,but still no luck, it just told to click on the tools and drag em' but it still didn't work.
In that case I'm out of ideas. I never heard of this problem without the No CD patch. How long have you had the game? Have you ever been able to build? Have you changed any part of the game files (to your knowledge)? Does your computer fully meet the system requirements especially the video display card? If all that checks out OK ... I suggest that you try uninstalling the game, performing a full disc clean up and defragment (if defrag is recommended) and then reinstalling the game. If that fails to correct the problem we'd need to see a full system specification (Start >> Run >> type in dxdiag and press enter)
Hokay... either someone's lying or not providing accurate information, because this happens if and only if the EXE is modified in a way synonymous with the no-cd. No other change can do something like this. Well, maybe there is, but the odds of such a perfect symptom match out of random (as opposed to intentional) cause is extremely, extremely improbable.
the requirments meet and i bought the game a week ago (i was busy and couldn'y buy it earlier). i never messed with the files and i reinstalled the game twice n' the same thing happens,the build tools don't work.i performed the clean out of the disc but the result is same.

Hmmm... You may want to try asking for help on the EA Games support page. But if you tell them your symptoms, they are certainly going to assume you have the NO-CD crack, and probably won't assist you because they'll think you have a pirated version. But then I'm sure if provided your CD Key and all that good stuff to them, you'd be good to go.
