Hopefully they'll be able to make it work so that we can do more walls and floors. Last night I was trying to build a house and was *very* frustrated by the lack of the appropriate wall paper and flooring for particular rooms.
I had a look at it last night and you need to extract the files first using simspe (which I just cannot for the life of me work out how to use). I think I may just wait until a much easier program comes out (that doesn't require any hacking knowledge!!)
LOL. I know what you mean. I took a look at the SimPE program and unless you already know how to use it, it doesn't have good enough instructions. So, I'll leave it to the people like JM Pescado for now. (He seems to think it's so easy that a 12 year old could do it.)
I am VERY glad to see that I am not the only one that can't figure out SimPE. I got it, messed with it for a few minutes, and closed it. Just couldn't figure out what to do. I am sure once you get used to it, it is a wonderful program
I'm a downloader, not an uploader! I can't figure out SimPE either. There are some tutorials on MTS2, but I just plain out don't have the patience! I am excited about the future though, new wall, floors, objects...Why I'm almost salivating!:lick:
I thought I'd give it another try and actually downloaded it, rather than just looking at the instructions. However, I'm now stuck on trying it because the microsoft net framework you need to download so that it can work is too big for my crummy dialup to download without errors. (I've tried 3 times. My husband is going to download it for me at a friend's house like we did with Body Shop. But he's been too busy to go do it.)
Well I have managed to make my way through about what feels like 1/10th of the document and I am quite keen to collaborate with others on an idiots guide... Any takers? I will type up how far I have gotten today and if someone could test it to see if it makes absolute sense and then maybe we all can muddle through it together? Sound like a plan?
