Sims 2 University Interview @ IGN We all knew it was going to start sooner or later. The Sims 2 is going to expand. And probably expand some more. Then when it's done expanding, it might just go ahead and expand again. But with the new engine and new ideas for gameplay that The Sims 2 brought to the picture, this sequel to have a brighter and bigger expansion future in store for it. You can read the complete interview here.
I liked the bit about making wallpaper and the like more customizable. It sounds like we may be getting our "Homecrafter" in the new EP. I was only lukewarm on the idea when the official announcement hit, but the more I find out, the more I like the idea. People have been saying that they think that it's weird that the jump from teenage to adult to elder was missing something. This should help bridge the gap, but I can't help wondering if they are going to make our post college age adults look older (like 40s something rather than the current 20s something that the college age would take over.) Also, they say it's in a new neighborhood. I wonder if this is opening up the possibility of our Sims being able to communicate between neighborhoods (at least by phone or email.) I'm glad that this article was a real interview and not just a rehash of the release letter.
