My Sims die and leave no tombstone or urn! Don't know if this has been asked before but I'm having a problem having my Sims die of old age and not leaving a marker. I've got the patch installed, could that be be the problem. I have tried different senarios, all with the same conclusion: fancy fan-fare with hula dancing girls but no tombstone or urn left behind. Is this normal? :ermm: If not, how do I fix it? Also, Should I/Can I reinstall the patch?
Thanks for responding so quickly. I just downloaded it so I'll let you know if it works. It has infected a couple families in Pleasantville. I'll get back to ya. . . Thankx
It's not an infectious glitch. Once it starts to happen, it will afflict your entire neighborhood, since it's a neighborhood overstuffing issue that causes a very badly written piece of Maxian code to overrun the allowed instruction limit.
I downloaded the file and just put it in my Sims2 downloads folder, just as I would would with most of my downloads. Is that correct, or should it be placed elsewhere? 'Cuz, I really don't see that much of a difference. Should I try killing off someone to check?
Did you unzip it? You have to unzip it also. You shouldn't notice any real difference, that's normal: The hack causes the game to behave normally, not abnormally, so the entire point is that you shouldn't notice anything unusual. However, if somebody dies of old age, you will once again receive your inheritance and tombstone. Killing them won't count.
Gotcha. . . I'll let you know what happens when that happens. As you may intimately know, it may take a while since I have too start over again. BTW... I killed "Iam Dunfore" in the swimming pool and got a marker. So your right. I need to have someone die of "old age" to really put it to the test. . . .
