Eye Download Problems I downloaded the Byakugan eye package and extracted the .package file into the appropriate download folder (which I had to make myself) But the custom eyes aren't showing up. Help?
Check that you have the .package file in:- C:\Documents and Settings\User_Name\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads and not in:- C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\The Sims 2 which won't work at all!
Yeah, I've been trying that from the beginning Mirelly. No such luck after re-making the Downloads folder, either.
Oh dear. You must be feeling kinda persecuted. Next advice (clutching at straws ... but needs to be asked ) ... make sure that your *.package files are not unzipped into a folder. For example:- C:\~\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads\some_eyes.package = Correct and C:\~\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims2\Downloads\Some_Eyes\some_eyes.package = Wrong The game only recognizes package downloads as files within the Downloads folder and ignores the contents of sub folders in the Downloads.
I just went through this yesterday. I had downloaded some clothes and was tired and not thinking and just unzipped then in the download folder not even thinking about subfolders. Then I went into the game and they weren't there it was VERY frustrating. Then I realized what happened and had to move them all from the subfolders to the download folder. It was a pain but it is a lesson I won't soon forget
Tried your second suggestion Mirelly. No such luck either. I think there's just some packages that aren't working with my computer or version of the game, or something. Because I've got some outfits and skins not showing up now. -shrug-
Hi Asuma. I'm having the same problems too. None of my downloaded outfits are showing up in the game, even though I've included the relevant meshes where applicable. Object downloads are fine though. Very odd, but it leads me to believe that the problem lies solely with Bodyshop. As a last resort, I am going to uninstall all my games tonight and reinstall from scratch to see if it filters out the problem. I'll let you know if it's a success or not. Moog x :bunny:
If you have Nightlife or later, make sure your custom content is turned on. Otherwise I have no idea...except maybe downloading and installing something from The Sims 2 Exchange and creating a downloads folder that way...
