What site can I download everything? Hey guys, Which site is the best to download all the lots, objects, sims skins, stories, movies, neighborhoods, etc etc.?? I tried going to simsresource.com but you have to pay to subscribe to download anything. Can someone point me in the right direction to get everything at? Thanks much! Joe
Hi Joe. Just step away from the TSR. There are many, many sites where you can download things. Start here at World Sims and Sims Stuff.com. The Official EA Site has an exchange that has thousands of lots and sims with diffrent clothing and genetics. Other good sites are Snooty Sims and ModTheSims2.com . I know that everyone here can add more sites.
HOWEVER THERE IS A FREE SUBSCRIPTION, WHERE YOU CAN DOWNLOAD SOME FREE CONTENT, IT'S APPROX 3% OF THEIR ENTIRE COLLECTION. YOU MAY ALSO HAVE TO REGISTER WITH MODTHESIMS.COM ALSO; COS SOME OF THE CLOTHES REQUIRE MESHES* THAT ARE AVAILABLE ON THEIR SITE. *NOTE THEIR WARNINGS ABOUT NEW MESHES IF YOU CHOOSE TO DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL THEM.
Please, for future reference, refrain from using all capital letters. It's the equalvent of shouting Thanks in advance.
I haven't found one site that has everything. It's best to just go to many sites and see what they have. The ones which seem to be most common are the clothing sites and the ones least likely to have problems (since unless they are new meshes, everything was done using a Maxis tool.) Those are just too numerous to list. You might find a listing site most helpful, such as: http://ts2list.50webs.com/directory.html For stories and movies, the official BBS probably has the most. Very few seem to have whole neighborhoods, although some do have SC4 "cities" which can be used to make a neighborhood from scratch. Objects are more problematic. They are all in the testing phase at this point as the tools for making even recolors is fairly new. So, they are usually listed as "beta test" which means that they may or may not work, and if they don't work they may cause problems. However, TSR and ModtheSims 2 seem to have the largest number of objects. (Although Reflex Sims, which you can find through the link in Community Finds, has a lot of very lovely recolored objects, some however with new meshes.)
