Broken bed Somehow, my Sims' bed as an object has stopped working properly. There's never been a problem before, but just a few minutes ago, they decided that only one side of the bed can be used. The other side is a mess and there's no option to make it. When one Sim is in bed, the other can't go to bed (no actions available), despite them being in love and never having had a problem with it before. To make matters worse, I can't delete the bed or replace it with another because the game seems to think the object is in use, even when there's nobody in it. Seems I'd stuck with this bed that they can't even use properly...
Toilet i had that same problem with a toilet that i had. No sim would use it and they ended up peeing themselves But unlike your bed i was able to delete it. Try the move_objects on cheat that enables you to delete mostly everything, just make sure the sims aren't on the bed otherwise you delete them to. From *Kato* p.s hope that helps
Broken bed What do I have to type in the cheat window? Do I just type 'move_objects'? I tried that but it didn't seem to work. It still says the bed is in use. It's going to really spoil the bedroom if I have to buy a new bed for them...annoyingly, they haven't had this bed very long, and it's the most expensive one!! They're not made of money!!
You have to type "moveobjects on" in the cheat window then you should be able to delete it. type "moveobjects off" to turn the cheat off. When it is on you will be able to move things where they shouldn't be.
cheat to activate the cheat window press ctrl shift c in that order and the little box up the top should appear then type move_objects on (when you type obejcts do two spaces and then type on)
Broken bed Thanks, it worked a treat! My only minor grumble is that I had to sell the bed for $1650 and buy the same one back for $3000. But at least they can woohoo again now!!!
LOL that's where the kaching cheat comes in handy. If a game bug eats up some cash it is fair game to cheat it back. The only real problem is in deciding whether to settle for a $1000 or to say what the hey and go for $2000 and get some new curtains as well ...
