    A question about Uploading

Hello, I make celeb sims, I have a yahoo group that I put them on..Plus I put some up on TSR that people request, I was just wondering if this site would allow the upload of my celeb sims??? I want to move some of the older celebs out of my yahoo group, to make room for new ones, So I figured this may be a good place to share them!!!

If you could answer this question for me JOSH that would be great!!!

Here's a link to my Yahoo group

A good place to upload your custom content is WorldSims' exchange counterpart, SimStuff.com

    www.simstuff.com :)

I was going to suggest that myself, but after having a look at the site to refresh my memory, it doesn't look like there is a database set up for full Sims yet.

Maybe Josh could add that in, and maybe even make subcategories for Male/Female, maybe the ages, and a seperate one for Celebrities...? Or just one big melting pot and have them all together. =)

This doesn't fit in exactly, but it's kind of close. I'm wondering if anyone can help me out.

I'm fairly new to the whole skinning/recolor scene. I have a toddler outfit I'd like to put up on my personal webpage. But for the life of me, I can't figure out which files need to be in that zipped package. I don't want to upload a whole sim, as only the clothing is origional. Can anybody help me out with that?

I haven't tried to share them with any websites, cause, well, like I said, I'm just begining. But maybe I'll get decent one day and share away.

Hi. Body shop projects (eg new dress for toddler) have to 'exported' to the game before they can used in the game. Body shop will then transfer the file to your:-
My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads folder. The trick is to identify the correct *.package file as they will have names with a load of random letters/numbers. The simplest way to be sure is to click the "Date Modified" tab (in View >> Details). The most recent file will be the one you last worked on. You can then rename it if needed to make identification easier ... but don't forget that the random-seeming numbers/letters are intended to make similar names different to each other. (eg many players might have a toddlers blue dress but they're probably all different! so toddler_blue_dress.package isn't gonna be very user friendly but ef6hq9sna1led0toddler_blue_dress.package is likely to be unique ;)

I'll see what I can do about it. Right now I'm in a middle of a power restructuring since one of the co-owners of WorldSims stepped down, so some people are coming in while others are leaving. The sooner I get this restructuring done, the sooner stuff will happen.

Thank you so much Mirelly for taking the time to explain it. I just didn't know which one's to zip, and I would have NEVER thought about using the view last modified option. One of them simple things I overlook. Only I couldn't find it in the downloads folder, but there was one in the project folder that the item was in. So I'm assuming that's it. I sure hope so anyway!

    Thanks again!!
