Help!! My Sims 2 Keeps On Crashing!! my sims 2 keeps on crashin before i get chance to play!! it used to work fine but now it crashes all the time, can anyone please help me??
OK Robyn ... sorry to hear that. If you are still having problems please try the following. First Open My Documents and find the folder EA Games Double click EA Games and find The Sims 2 Double click The Sims 2 and find Downloads If you cannot find Downloads this just means you haven't downloaded anything yet - go to the second item. If you have a Downloads folder, right click it and change its name (just add an X) This won't muck up the game but it will stop it from using anything you have downloaded ... which might be causing your problem. Second Start the game again and if it crashes again remember the circumstances that lead up to the crash. (eg The Intro Movie, The Blue Screen before the Main Neighborhood menu, The blue neighbourhood loading screen, loading a family, or whenever ... ThirdHave you downloaded any items that were "self-installing"? ... this does not mean Maxis made items that come as Sim2Pack files and which open with SimsInstaller (where you get a confirmation screen asdking you if you want to install the item). Fourth If your computer has access to email/the internet, have you scanned your computer for viruses? Is your anti-virus software up to date? If not why not?
