Phone Troubles I got this sim named Heather, her husband was at work and her social was REALLY LOW. So I got her to go on the phone, and talk to her BEST FRIEND. Then her toddler (Joan) woke up, so I clicked on the little icon which cancels whatever a sim's doing. So heather could get her baby (she talks on phone 4 hours ) After the baby was dealt with, I went back to the phone. So she could phone her BF and her BF's face/name was gone! I can't phone her anymore! She still shows as BF on the "friends list" but I can't phone her!!!! what's going on???
The only time I had that happen I was using the mirror that lets you control other sims and NPCs on your lot. My poor guy had all kinds of friends but as soon as they became best friends they disappeared off his calling list. I deleted the mirror and saved and exited and when I went back everything was ok. Hope you can get your phone problem figured out

Mirror miror The mirror is a special hacked object. Maybe Daiz's wondering if your lot contains any hacks that would mess up your phone list?

This happens if a Sim is invisibly stranded on the lot. You can get rid of these phantom sims that occasionally occur by using an object like Inge's Simlogical teleporters to vaporize all nonresidents, which will purge the lot of these invisible sims. They should then appear in your phone list again.
I think the one he is talking about is here under Sims 2 -- hacked objects. I think it's about half way down the page. I have never messed with it so I can't say how exactly it works but I have used other hacks from this site.
I believe it just telports them to your house or their home. There is a decription for each one, I think there are a few on the page.
