    Sim Confused?

I have built a very elaborate house, three stories tall, pool, deck, with nine rooms. but I cannot get my sim to enter my house! He throws a fit, a thought bubble pops up over his head (which resembles 3 different objects all blue in color) but he won't enter neither will any of the "invited" guests, they do the same thing. I've tried changing doors, the stairs and the foundation. but still nothing can anyone help me?

Well as you mentioned a foundation ... I suppose there are some steps up to the front door? ;)

Next ... check the route from the mailbox (I presume that he is hanging out nearby??) to the main/front door. Any fences? This includes those little low fences! Any slopes? Some slopes are too steep. Any trees or bushes in the way? What about swimming pools?

    Sim still confused.......

I do have steps. ;) and the path is clear to the mailbox. the closest i can get him in the front porch. My problem is i can't get him to enter the house. Now what?

Well, the thought bubble that you describe sounds like the one they get when there is something blocking their path. Make sure that you didn't acidentally put something blocking the inside of the front door and that the door is level with the porch. ( I don't know why it wouldn't be level but weirder things have happened in this game:))

The only thing I can think of is maybe you can take a screen shot of it and put it on here so we can see what is going on.

Hope you get it figured out soon. Hopefully it is something easy. Good luck:happy:

Another possibility is the roof might be blocking the path! I have had this happen, though I still don't understand how it happened ... I only discovered it by going into free camera mode and with all storeys and roofs visible I could see an eave of roof blocking my sims path! Yikes! I didn't think it could happen, but it did.

But first thing to try is delete the section wall with the front door in it.

If your sim still won't enter ... delete the foundation squares just inside the front door. If any floating floor tiles remain that are not associated with an object you have found the invisible thing that is blocking the sim's route.
