Can't Get To Community Lot! When I attempt to go to a community, the message "Leaving lot in current..." shows up. I click OK and it pops up again! Therefore I can't go to the community lot. I have to click No. Need assistance!
A few questions ... Does this happen on just one lot or with all families? Do you actually have a community lot to go to? Are the mail box and trashcan still present? Does the school bus and carpool arrive properly? Are you playing with game disc in the CD drive and is the game registered? Have you added any game hacks or patches other than the official patch from http://thesims2.ea.com/?
It happens only to this family I do have a community lot to go to. Yes the mail box and the trashcan are still present. The schoolbus and carpool both arrive properly. I am playing with the DVD version. I have used the patch from the Sims2 website. Hopefully this will help you help me!
Hmmmm ... this sounds like a glitch that can be associated with an invisible object or sim. For example I had party in a basement ... it was a wedding of all things! (It seemed like a good idea at the time ) but for ages afterwards I kept finding guests trapped under the stairs and between the plasterboard wall and the brick foundation wall. Likewise people have reported beds and even dining chairs becoming unusable (due to a sim's action being cancelled or otherwise interrupted). Most of these problems can be cured by using the Move_Objects on cheat to pick up and delete the affected sim or object. Problems with the vehicles like your can be close to impossible to detect though, so it may just be easiest to move the family out and completely delete the lot and start them over on a fresh lot. If you want to preserve the family's wealth you can always replace it with a few kaching and/or motherlode cheats. Unfortunately you will lose your career rewards if you have any but there are places where you can download buyable versions ... Maybe someone else has some bother ideas ...???
